Foundation “KÖMMERLING Better World Stiftung”
The foundation „KÖMMERLING Better World Stiftung gGmbH“ (charitable organisation) serves non-profit purposes only and is involved in many areas.
For Dr. Peter Mrosik, January 1st, 2020 was not only the beginning of a new decade, but also a very special start into the future: “I am very pleased that we have established the foundation „KÖMMERLING Better World Stiftung“. This enables us even better to fulfill our social responsibility as a company on a broad basis. We support various charitable projects, help people and make a contribution to making the world a little better.”
The foundation „KÖMMERLING Better World Stiftung gGmbH“ (charitable organisation) serves non-profit purposes only and is involved in many areas. The scope ranges from the promotion of welfare, science and sports to youth and elderly care and nature conservation.
Dr. Peter Mrosik: „In a world facing major challenges, we take responsibility and contribute to solutions. We have been doing this for many years and not only since the public discussions about climate protection. Otherwise we would not be where we are today. However, we want to provide answers and not only to the important ecological, but also to economic and social topics and to get actively involved. Therefore, the establishing of our foundation is only logical and a good sign for our way into the future."
Numerous CSR activities
Even before the foundation was launched, the company and its employees worked for good causes as part of numerous CSR activities (corporate social responsibility). Under the motto "Your window to a better world" there are fundraisers for ill children, cancer research or for children's homes. But also the promotion of children's linguistic skills together with the Nele Neuhaus Foundation and the Mainz 05 Bundesliga footbal club, the support for volunteers, modern windows for educational institutions in Russia - all of this is part of the spectrum and is now becoming even more consistent with the new foundation.
„In the social field, we are involved in many projects with our worldwide subsidiaries. This is not primarily about large donations, but the guideline is "small gesture, big impact". These are projects that our employees initiate and implement on their own initiative,” explains Dr. Peter Mrosik.
With the establishing of the „KÖMMERLING Better World Stiftung“ these and other CSR activities are to be expanded and supported. Together with employees, partners, window manufacturers and everyone interested, the foundation wants to provide concrete help for selected projects with clear objectives.
Pioneer in sustainability issues
According to Dr. Peter Mrosik, the profine Group is already a pioneer in various sustainability issues such as recycling, zero pellet loss for clean oceans or in the use of energy-saving systems and renewable energy for production. In addition, the modern, highly insulated window systems from the profine Group make a significant contribution to achieving climate protection goals and reducing CO2.
With the foundation, profine now wants to get more involved in international social projects and help people. In addition, the company, with its KÖMMERLING brand as the main sponsor of the Mainz 05 football club, also works with the Bundesliga team for social projects. “We are not only a sponsor of Mainz 05, we share the same values that we stand for together. These are many initiatives that help people. We are pleased that Mainz 05, like us, is committed to sustainability and environmental protection. It is the first climate-neutral club in the Bundesliga,” said Dr. Peter Mrosik.
The „KÖMMERLING Better World Stiftung“ lives up to the slogan “Your window to a better world”. Under this motto and with the hashtag #Kömmerlingbetterworld, the foundation will appeal to a broad public and motivate many people to also work for a better world.
Dr. Peter Mrosik: “We invite all window companies and our partners to participate in our sustainable topics. Because I think together we can achieve a great deal for a future worth living.”
